Peraton's Procurement Division is in search of a Senior Manager of Procurement. The individual in this role will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Leading and overseeing diverse engagements within our Indirect spend, focusing on categories such as IT Services, Software, Telecom, and Hardware.
  • Collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to establish a robust advisory partnership with Functional Leaders while directly managing a team of four professionals.
  • Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Procurement Operations.
  • Guiding sourcing personnel in developing sourcing solutions that align with the overall technology strategy.
  • Assisting the procurement team and stakeholders in formulating comprehensive category and supplier strategies.
  • Creating cost-saving initiatives and strategic sourcing projects, ensuring business continuity and high supplier performance.
  • Managing spend, supplier, and market data to effectively assess savings opportunities and value chain impacts.
  • Leading supplier market RFI/RFP processes, including execution, presentations, and business case implications.
  • Engaging with potential vendors, addressing RFP-related inquiries, analyzing results, and supporting final vendor selections.
  • Driving annual productivity enhancements across spend categories by developing and implementing strategies to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Contributing to the development of new policies and procedures aimed at driving savings and leading organizational change within managed spend categories.
  • Leading sourcing events, including vendor sourcing and contract negotiations.
  • Enhancing sourcing efficiency by defining specific roadmaps that prioritize sourcing categories and expand e-procurement catalogs.
  • Conducting research and analytics to validate savings projections and facilitate precise supplier negotiations.
  • Reviewing significant contracts for key spend areas and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex negotiations and re-supply modeling.
  • Articulating functional supply chain or sourcing strategies to a diverse audience of managers and senior professionals.
  • Creating alignment within the group and communicating broader procurement transformation initiatives.
  • Sourcing suppliers and establishing a best-in-class supply chain while nurturing relationships with top-tier suppliers.
  • Maximizing all strategic levers within the sourcing process to uncover new value pathways.
  • Employing supplier management and continuous improvement methodologies with key suppliers.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to achieve sourcing and procurement cost savings, risk mitigation projects, and supplier-enabled innovation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, and material management.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting various contract types and master agreements (IDIQ, BOA, MSA).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with exceptional time management skills.
  • A critical thinker who challenges the status quo and promotes compliance through innovative methods.
  • Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
  • A proactive approach to staying informed about emerging industry and government trends, with a focus on developing agile responses to compliance requirements.
  • Experience in process improvement, training, and compliance initiatives.
