Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment of monitoring instrumentation for landslide analysis and ground movement data interpretation.
  • Conduct inspections for dam safety and perform environmental water quality sampling.
  • Assist in developing geological models using software such as EVS or Leapfrog to aid in site conceptualization and groundwater modeling.
  • Prepare various technical documents, including reports, proposals, and specifications.
  • Manage the production of written documents and ensure quality control.
  • Engage in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including planning, budgeting, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Drive business development efforts by acquiring new clients and maintaining relationships with existing ones.
  • Mentor junior staff and manage subcontractors effectively.
  • Participate in fieldwork, including environmental sampling and contractor oversight.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), or engineering (environmental, civil, or chemical).
  • Advanced degree in geology or environmental engineering is preferred.
  • Professional registration (e.g., P.E., P.G.) is preferred.

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in subsurface investigations on significant dams.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute field investigations and studies.
  • Demonstrated success in client development and management.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training is preferred.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
