Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at American Engineering Testing Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering and experience in managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate geotechnical engineering projects from initial authorization to completion.
  • Perform engineering observations and judgments of geostructural activities.
  • Prepare formal geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and assign staff to perform field testing.
  • Critically review and edit technical reports and correspondence.
  • Prepare proposals and perform marketing/business development duties.
  • Represent the company by presenting ideas and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in coaching and training junior staff and perform critical performance appraisals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with 10+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience.
  • Professional Engineering registration in Minnesota, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
  • Ability to obtain registration in other states as required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Work Environment

This role will primarily operate in a professional office environment, with frequent travel to construction sites and outdoor locations.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
