Senior Geoscientist

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to join our team in Johnson City office. As a key member of our Environmental Practice, you will be responsible for managing current clients, developing new business opportunities, and overseeing projects related to environmental due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, and regulatory compliance.

• Manage and execute environmental projects under federal/state programs and industry standards
• Develop and implement effective project management strategies to meet client needs and expectations
• Lead and mentor junior staff members to ensure successful project delivery
• Provide senior direction on a variety of projects, including real estate, mining, power sector, manufacturing, industrial, and public sector clients
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and excellence in project delivery

• B.S. in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (M.S. a plus)
• Professional license preferred
• 10+ years of experience in environmental project management, with a strong track record of success
• Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including experience as a client advocate in negotiations with state agencies
• Successful track record of direct client management and business development responsibilities, especially within the Tennessee and Southeastern United States
