Music Kids LLC is seeking passionate educators to engage with students through the art of music. Our program focuses on instrumental education, providing small group classes to students across various regions.
We are looking for:
- Music instructors eager to broaden their teaching skills.
- Classroom educators interested in returning to their musical roots.
While proficiency in teaching violin and either guitar or piano is preferred, it is not a prerequisite for application. Resources and support will be provided to assist in teaching the fundamentals of all three instruments.
About Music Kids LLC:
Our mission is to enhance student growth by integrating music education into local schools. We have successfully taught numerous students at various partner institutions across multiple states.
Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will serve as a Faculty Member, responsible for conducting small group classes at designated partner schools. This role includes paid time outside of instructional hours for managing student records, providing updates to parents, and offering virtual support.
- Commitment to one academic year is required.
- Possibility of extending employment during summer months.
- Availability during weekdays for after-school hours and office hours is essential.
- Annual salary for full-time positions starts at $45,000.
- Additional benefits for employees working 20+ hours include PTO, holidays, and health insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting in-school teaching and student performances.
- Managing out-of-school responsibilities such as parent communication, lesson planning, and progress reporting.
- Promoting the program and driving enrollment during school events.
- Engaging in professional development through collaboration with senior faculty and staff.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 1-2 years of teaching experience in music or traditional classroom settings.
- Ability or willingness to teach multiple instruments at a beginner level.
- Strong interest in working with diverse student populations, particularly beginners.
- Passion for making a positive impact on primary education.
- Comfortable teaching small groups of students.
- Flexible and creative teaching style, adaptable to student needs.
- Proactive and capable of working independently.
- Experience in leadership or project management is a plus.
- Reliable, organized, and punctual.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using digital tools for managing activities.
- Must have reliable transportation for commuting to partner schools.
