About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with end-stage renal disease. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and effective delivery of dialysis treatment, while also providing emotional support and education to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
  • Conduct routine patient assessments, including vital sign checks and patient observations
  • Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment, including hemodialysis machines and water treatment systems
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on dialysis-related topics, including medication management and lifestyle changes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies, as needed
