Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Technician to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals undergoing renal dialysis treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and monitor equipment used for hemodialysis, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Perform delegated tasks and administrative support functions under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Assist with data collection and documentation, including physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of patients.
  • Organize and prioritize daily work assignments to support patient needs and operational efficiency.
  • Provide clinical support to licensed healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures, including preparing laboratory specimens and performing testing.
  • Document and capture charges for clinical support services rendered within the patient visit.
  • Perform administrative support responsibilities, including drafting letters and assisting with completion of forms.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Certification as a Patient Care Dialysis Technician by a State Agency or Nationally Recognized Certification Program within 18 months of hire date.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping/traveling, and repetitive motion. The individual must be proficient in communicative, auditory, and visual skills, with attention to detail and ability to write legibly. The ability to lift/push/pull lbs. may be required, and the individual may be exposed to fumes, chemicals, noise, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
