Position Overview:
MasTec Inc. is a prominent utility construction company specializing in essential infrastructure for the Power, Communications, Oil & Gas Pipeline, and Gas Distribution sectors across North America.

We are currently in search of multiple Structured Cabling Technicians to support our operations and serve our diverse clientele.


Under the guidance of the Foreman or Team Lead, the Technician will provide mentorship and training to installers and junior technicians, leveraging their experience and sound judgment to achieve daily and weekly objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure job site productivity and uphold high standards of workmanship while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Install structured cabling systems, overseeing all facets of the installation process.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Mentor installers to ensure task completion and adherence to responsibilities.
- Supervise a crew of 2-4 installers or junior team members as needed.
- Promote and adhere to MasTec's safety culture by following established safety practices and policies.
- Interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications, and cut sheets effectively.
- Ensure compliance with customer security requirements and guide junior team members accordingly.
- Exhibit a collaborative spirit, positive attitude, and meticulous attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
- Listen attentively, follow instructions, and provide constructive recommendations.
- Manage job site organization and cleanliness proactively.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in structured cabling is required.
- Experience with fiber optic cabling is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook applications is advantageous.
- BICSI Certification is a plus.
- Additional industry certifications (e.g., CommScope, Hilti, Panduit) are beneficial.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs., and carry 25 lbs.
- Possession of personal tools is necessary.
- Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
- Must be willing to travel to various locations as needed.
