Cabling Foreman

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cabling Foreman to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office.

The Cabling Foreman is a first-in-line supervisor responsible for managing a crew, ensuring all work is installed and maintained in accordance with company and customer requirements, including safety, quality, and management.

• Manage onsite construction activities, including crew management, safety culture promotion, productivity management, and project milestone achievement.
• Mentor technicians and installers to complete tasks and responsibilities.
• Embody and promote the company's safety culture by following safe work practices and policies.
• Read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications, and cut sheets.
• Maintain compliance with customers' security requirements and ensure junior team members comply.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, high attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Listen carefully and follow instructions, making recommendations as needed.
• Effectively communicate daily milestones and manage crew productivity to ensure project timelines are met.
• Communicate and maintain top-notch relationships with internal and external customers and other onsite trades.
• Proactively manage job site organization and housekeeping.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

• 6+ years of directly related experience, including managing crews of 10+ installers/technicians.
• Advanced technical knowledge in the structured cabling industry required.
• Broad problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in Microsoft Excel and Outlook applications required.
• Ability to utilize company-specific applications required.
• BICSI Certification preferred/not required.
• Industry Certifications as a plus (i.e., CommScope, Hilti, Panduit, etc.).
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders and perform necessary work while on the ladder.
• Must have own tools.
• Overtime may be required. May be required to work varying shifts.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
