Key Responsibilities:
Specification Development:
- Engage with OEM partners to create system specifications tailored for battery-powered and hybrid applications based on client needs.
- Identify and specify electrical components for battery electric and hybrid powertrain systems.
- Assist in sourcing prototypes for powertrain systems in hybrid and battery electric vehicles.
- Coordinate with electrical component suppliers and customer engineering teams to ensure product compatibility and successful deployment.
- Conduct simulations for various powertrain configurations, including fully electric, series hybrid, and parallel hybrid systems.
- Execute testing and engineering analysis of e-Product systems, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide training to sales personnel on product specifications and usage.
- Develop and troubleshoot electrical systems for engines, BEVs, and HEVs.
- Prepare and present technical briefings to current and prospective YANMAR e-Powertrain OEMs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support and monitor ongoing projects.

- Basic knowledge of vehicle control systems, including CAN and programming using MATLAB Simulink or similar tools.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to customers in person or through virtual meetings.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with individuals at all organizational levels professionally.
- Capability to perform engineering calculations and conversions.
- Familiarity with electrical design standards and regulatory requirements for both low and high voltage systems.
- Experience with complete battery electric and/or hybrid systems, including motor selection, battery management, and controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PPT, Word, Excel).
- Experience with 3D modeling and design (familiarity with Creo/Windchill preferred).
- Ability to work extended hours in a plant or office environment, including navigating all areas of the facility as necessary.
- Occasional lifting and moving of up to 20 pounds in an office or customer setting.
- Awareness of surroundings and safety protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in the electric or hybrid vehicle sector.
- Experience with complete battery electric and/or hybrid systems, including motor selection, battery, and controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to create PowerPoint presentations.
- This is a full-time position.
