Job Description

At Top Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Japanese manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing production, quality, maintenance, and shipping departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments, including production, quality, maintenance, and shipping.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve quality and minimize downtimes/waste.
  • Maximize overall production output from different shifts with minimal management resources.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Ensure that all employees are following safety procedures and clean room dress code.
  • Maintain SOPs for different work processes and ensure all controlled documents are up to date.
  • Meet quality standards for services and evaluations of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor EDI status through supplier/integral portal and communicate customer sales volume to management team.
  • Recommend suggestions/solutions where feasible and practical.
  • Ensure shipments and deliveries follow customer quality guidelines and packaging agreements.
  • Assist in preparation of Inventory Count and reviews month-end inventory report.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving operations of all production models, prototype parts, and direct materials.
  • Maintain the lab and test equipment, including calibration and needed equipment preventive maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards of production parts.
  • Maintain general building and assist in ordering parts necessary to complete maintenance repairs.
  • Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with customers, vendors, and agencies.
  • Knowledge on all manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as required by management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a climate-changing work environment.
  • Management and JP company experience is a must.
  • Office hours: 8am - 5pm.
