Distribution Center Associate

As a Distribution Center Associate at MKS Instruments, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Arizona Distribution Center of Excellence. You will partner with internal and external customers to provide world-class distribution center-centric support, reporting to the Inbound Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods and rejecting unsatisfactory items when necessary.
- Lift heavy items and operate a forklift.
- Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, posting weights and shipping charges, and preparing goods for final shipment.
- Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- May prepare kitting packages for assembly production and customers.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of travel may be required.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, and storing activities.
- 2 to 5 years of related experience in a warehouse environment.
- Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to do shift work when directed.
- Completion of high school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level.

- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Operates in a warehouse environment.
- Constantly operates a computer and other productivity machinery.

- Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
