Construction Quality Assurance Inspector

Armand Corporation, a distinguished M/WBE Construction Management firm with over 33 years of experience in the sector, is looking for a dedicated Construction Quality Assurance Inspector to oversee a federal construction initiative involving intricate rail, transit, and other transportation projects in the NY & NJ regions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES encompass, but are not limited to:
- Conduct thorough inspections of existing conditions, ongoing work, and completed tasks to ensure quality, completeness, and precision.
- Generate comprehensive documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, and daily time and material logs.
- Examine and annotate plans and specifications as necessary to ensure compliance with the executed work.
- Monitor work environments for adherence to relevant safety regulations.
- Manage conflicting priorities effectively; address issues promptly; and ensure projects reach successful conclusions.
- Engage with various stakeholders regarding the progress of the work in a timely manner.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS include, but are not limited to:
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in construction supervision or inspection.
- Prior experience with rail, tunnel, structural, station, or soil projects is advantageous.
- OSHA 10 certification is required (additional training will be provided if necessary).
- Safety training from NJ Transit, MTA, or Amtrak is beneficial, though training will be provided if needed.
- Advanced certifications (NICET, ACI, etc.) are preferred.
- Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at a High Level.
- A valid driver's license may be required based on site location.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
