About Our FacilityWith nearly 50 years of pioneering healthcare, Doctors Hospital of Augusta has established itself as one of the region's leading acute care facilities. Our 350+ bed hospital provides access to trained physicians and advanced technology, catering to a wide range of patient needs. Our services include a nationally recognized Burn Center and Cancer Center, accredited by the American College of Surgeons, as well as Chest Pain Accreditation. We have earned the Joint Commission's certificate of distinction for total hip and total knee replacement and spinal fusion surgery and are the only CARF accredited facility in the area.
About the RoleThis critical care registered nurse will collaborate with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team to assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans. As a key member of the interdependent team, you will be responsible for achieving positive patient and department outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage efficient patient flow, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patient records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- Prior acute care Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
