Job Title: Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering

San Jose State University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering, as well as developing and maintaining a research program in the field.

The Department of Electrical Engineering at San Jose State University is committed to providing a high-quality education to its students, and we are looking for a faculty member who shares this commitment. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses, including introductory and advanced courses in Electrical Engineering, as well as courses in specialized areas such as Power Electronics and Control Systems.

The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and maintain a research program in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Electronics and Control Systems. This will involve securing external funding, publishing research papers, and presenting research at conferences.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in teaching and research in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to secure external funding for research projects
  • Strong publication record in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to contribute to the department's mission of providing a high-quality education to its students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Power Electronics and Control Systems
  • Experience in teaching and research in a university setting
  • Ability to secure external funding for research projects
  • Strong publication record in Electrical Engineering
