Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

About the Role
Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for scans and operating radioscopic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for scans and operate radioscopic equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas
- Provide age-specific patient care to neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Maintain and document continuing education requirements as required by AART and CNMT
- Complete age-specific education and competency requirements
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Meets requirements for registry by ARRT
- Attended an accredited Nuclear Medicine school and/or completed an appropriate training program under the supervision of a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Director of Radiology, or Chief Radiologist
- Current ARRT registry with card on file in Directors office
Preferred Qualifications
- Current NMCTB registry with card on file in Directors office
- One year or more as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
