Job Summary

Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. This role involves operating radioscopic equipment to produce scanograms and measuring concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for scans and operate radioscopic equipment to produce scanograms
  • Measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas
  • Provide age-specific patient care to neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
  • Maintain and document continuing education requirements as required by AART and CNMT
  • Complete age-specific education and competency checklist
  • Maintain department-specific educational requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Meets requirements for registry by ARRT
  • Attended an accredited Nuclear Medicine school and/or completed an appropriate training program under the supervision of a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Director of Radiology, or Chief Radiologist

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT registry with card on file in Director's office
  • Current NMCTB registry with card on file in Director's office

Experience

  • One year or more as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Adequate capabilities as determined by department administrator
