Overview:

The Security Manager plays a pivotal role in advising personnel on all facets of governmental security protocols while ensuring that the minimum physical security standards are upheld across operational facilities. This position is essential for evaluating the security ramifications of new initiatives and business ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff in completing security clearance documentation utilizing the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system to guarantee compliance and timely submission to governmental authorities.
  • Facilitate personnel security clearance processes in collaboration with the Defense Security Service.
  • Oversee additional security measures, including Polygraphs, National Agency Checks, and Counterintelligence Screening.
  • Coordinate SCI personnel security clearance requirements with various governmental clients, tailored to contract specifications.
  • Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for automated systems managing classified data.
  • Develop and maintain Automated Information System Security Plans (AISSP) while ensuring adherence to government-mandated operational standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all cleared personnel.
  • Manage personnel security files for all cleared staff.
  • Process Visit Requests for classified engagements.
  • Establish and oversee the daily operations of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • Serve as the primary contact for alarm activations within the facility.
  • Ensure accountability for all classified documents entering or leaving the facility.
  • Provide courier authorizations and necessary briefings to employees.
  • Prepare DD Forms 254 for subcontractors and interpret requirements for contract efforts.
  • Issue Security ID badges as required by contract stipulations.
  • Generate reports and notifications to relevant governmental agencies as mandated by regulations.
  • Keep senior management informed of any security vulnerabilities or potential issues.
  • Collaborate with governmental agencies to fulfill all security requirements and liaise with their security personnel to facilitate necessary actions.
  • Supervise off-site facilities to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • Manage corporate adherence to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) as outlined in the Department of Defense National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Oversee compliance with the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Program in accordance with Department of Defense directives.
  • Direct and evaluate supporting staff, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in any field of study.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in corporate-level government contracting and security-related roles.
  • Top Secret clearance required with eligibility for SCI access.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of NISPOM and SCI Administrative Security Manual.
  • Familiarity with Automated Information System Processing requirements for both collateral and SCI systems.
  • Hands-on experience managing secure facilities through the Defense Security Service and SCIF management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and SharePoint.
