Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Waterview Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and care of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of residents with decreased functions.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing physical therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Perform treatment programs for assigned residents and enter billing information accurately and timely.
  • Report resident progress in meetings and consult with other team members to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
  • Provide residents with equipment as needed and chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Cooperate with all departments and staff to promote optimal resident care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
  • Previous skilled nursing facility experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
