Cipla is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and gather data related to environmental and occupational health and safety issues
  • Collect and maintain accurate and up-to-date safety data sheets (SDS) for all relevant parties
  • Provide gap assessments for our facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and control hazards in the workplace
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather environmental data for monthly reporting
  • Work with vendors to maintain inspection logs and ensure timely payment of services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience working in the EHS department, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of progressive responsibility implementing safety and health programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organizational, learning, and communication skills
  • Strong focus on safety and a desire for continuous improvement and risk mitigation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language
  • Ability to work under general supervision with an orientation towards both tactical and strategic execution
