About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Scotchman. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, answer questions, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, cleaning displays, and emptying trash bins.
  • Cash Handling: Efficiently manage the cash register, handle transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Upselling and Suggestive Selling: Recommend products to customers, highlighting their benefits and features to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Brand Ambassador: Promote our brand by encouraging customers to join our loyalty rewards program and highlighting exclusive benefits.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations, including assisting with tasks and maintaining a positive team environment.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (21 in certain states).
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Personable and Positive: Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
  • Detail-Oriented: Notice and address the little things that make a big difference in customer experience.
  • Reliable and Responsible: Punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in work.
  • Flexible: Adaptable and ready to take on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
