Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to lead our labor crew and subcontractors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and managing projects from start to finish for homeowners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities across multiple projects.
  • Supervise project superintendents, foremen, and crews to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety regulations, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to address unforeseen delays or issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, conducting regular safety audits and meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and address any challenges.
  • Review and approve work progress, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.
  • Resolve any field issues that may arise, including scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, or technical challenges.
  • Oversee labor, equipment, and material usage to ensure optimal efficiency and cost control.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and provide on-site leadership and problem-solving.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project status, including updates on budgets, schedules, and any deviations from the plan.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with project progress and outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, particularly in asphalt, concrete, and stormwater.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, and safety regulations (OSHA standards).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a large field team.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly in the field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.
