Job Title: Case Manager AOD Registered MC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Case Manager AOD Registered MC to join our team at Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP). As a key member of our team, you will provide intensive case management services to eligible clients, meeting participants at least weekly.

Under the guidance and supervision of a Certified AOD Counselor, you will learn alcohol and drug counseling functions, including screening, assessment, and intake. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive screenings and assessments with individuals to collect functional, environmental, psycho-social, financial, employment, housing, educational, and health information.

You will also coordinate individualized planning with clients to meet short- and long-term needs, provide service linkages and support systems to ensure identified needs are met, and act as an advocate for clients before judicial, community, social service, and administrative bodies as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments with individuals to collect functional, environmental, psycho-social, financial, employment, housing, educational, and health information.
  • Coordinate individualized planning with clients to meet short- and long-term needs.
  • Provide service linkages and support systems to ensure identified needs are met.
  • Act as an advocate for clients before judicial, community, social service, and administrative bodies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications.
  • Alcohol and Drug Counseling Registration by an approved accrediting organization (CCAPP, CADTP or CADEE).
  • Minimum 1-year general experience in case management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AA or higher degree in Behavioral Science.
  • 2 years' experience working with target population.
  • Knowledge of/expertise with substance abuse services in LA County.
