Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Industrial Electricity Instructor to join our team at Williamsburg Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality instruction and managing students enrolled in the Industrial Electricity program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate program curriculum in collaboration with peers
  • Teach courses to a diverse student body, promoting academic excellence and student success
  • Participate in the assessment of departmental instructional needs and assist in planning and delivery to meet those needs
  • Foster and promote all educational programs and activities offered through the college
  • Advise and keep records of assigned student advisees, making referrals to other college personnel as needed
  • Maintain established office hours and assist in recruiting and retaining students in the program
  • Support the department in developing reports and budget projections for supplies and equipment
  • Aid in hiring, training, evaluating, and loading adjunct instructors within the department
  • Maintain contact with business/industry or advisory groups
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electricity Technology or a related field, or a certificate in Industrial Electricity with five years of experience in an automated manufacturing setting
  • Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level in industrial electricity is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
