Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Property Claims Adjuster to take on a lead role in managing intricate property and casualty claims. This position requires a high level of independence and expertise in investigating claims, determining liability, and settling complex homeowner property claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into high-exposure claims by engaging with relevant parties, including insured individuals, claimants, agents, and legal representatives.
  • Participate in High Damage Reviews (HDR) to address coverage concerns and exposure assessments.
  • Manage both first-party and third-party claims across various policy types and endorsements.
  • Perform on-site inspections as necessary, assess damages, and negotiate settlements with all involved parties.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, make informed decisions, and ensure timely file closures.
  • Interpret and apply policy documents, leases, and contracts to assigned claims.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior adjusters, sharing expertise and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in handling complex property claims, preferably with a focus on larger claims exceeding $50,000.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance policies and endorsements.
  • Ability to effectively manage multi-line claims across diverse operating territories.
  • Experience with Xactimate software is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.

Work Environment: This role involves fieldwork, requiring travel up to 50%, with potential for catastrophe travel. Candidates should be prepared to work in various environments, including residential properties and other locations that may present unique challenges.
