Risk Management Director

At JCW, we are seeking a highly skilled Director Risk to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks within our business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment and Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure alignment with our organizational risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Control Framework Development: Design and maintain a robust control framework that addresses identified risks, ensuring processes are documented and communicated clearly.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business unit leaders to foster a strong risk culture, providing guidance on risk management practices and controls.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on risk and control frameworks, ensuring all employees understand their role in the risk management process.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key risk indicators (KRIs) and control metrics; regularly report on risk exposure and control effectiveness to senior management and relevant committees.
- Incident Management: Oversee the investigation and resolution of operational incidents, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into risk management practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all risk and control practices comply with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies; assist in audits and regulatory examinations as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements and control improvements, leveraging industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, FRM, CRCM) is a plus.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, or related fields within the banking or financial services industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory landscape, and risk management frameworks.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $210,000 to $250,000.
