Job Title: DevSecOps Integration

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Integration professional to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Depot Integrated Product Team (IPT) by deploying and managing nodes, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers to plan and implement node deployment and management strategies
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support HW/SW systems
  • Deploy patches and baseline updates to remote sites
  • Maintain and manage nodes remotely using advanced tools and techniques
  • Perform continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure system security and integrity
  • Structure and maintain databases to support system operations
  • Provide advanced service-desk functions, including trouble ticket fielding and resolution
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience in DevSecOps, security, and system management
  • Experience with implementation and understanding of Engineering principles in a professional environment
  • Deep understanding of HW/SW builds, IA hardening, and lockdown
  • Experience managing RedHat/Linux systems, writing/maintaining custom scripts
  • Experience configuring routers/switches and dynamic routing protocols
  • Experience with Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Powershell, and Python
  • Skilled in Platform management, including Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture
  • IAT Level 1 (CompTIA Security + and OS/Computing Environment certification)
  • Strong understanding of security concepts, best practices, and how to apply them
  • Ability to represent successful completion of work in Agile Management systems
  • Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with Dell Open Manage Enterprise/Redfish API
  • Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop, HBase/Accumulo, Spark, and Kafka
