Job Title: Marketing Event Specialist

Join the Maryland SPCA team as a Marketing Event Specialist, responsible for planning and executing marketing events and campaigns to increase brand awareness, program participation, and donations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and execute at least two major events, managing all aspects of marketing, logistics, and budgeting.
  • Develop and execute time-limited fundraising campaigns with the marketing and communications director.
  • Lead the transition of small event planning to volunteers, supervising volunteers after the transition.
  • Research, recommend, and build strong relationships with vendors.
  • Keep detailed records and leverage technology to track event signups and communicate with participants.
  • Support the finance and administration team in coordinating rentals of facilities for non-MD SPCA events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management.
  • Extensive experience building and executing project plans and event logistics.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, negotiating and coordinating with vendors.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including presenting, running meetings, and balancing needs of multiple parties.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent exposure to animals.
  • Work is frequently performed in an office setting.
  • Occasional offsite work in various environments requiring reliable transportation.
  • Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Occasional need to drive company vans.

Salary: $48,000 - $55,000 Per Year
