Key Responsibilities:- Plan, direct, and execute at least two major events, managing all aspects of marketing, logistics, and budgeting.
- Develop and execute time-limited fundraising campaigns with the marketing and communications director.
- Lead the transition of small event planning to volunteers, supervising volunteers after the transition.
- Research, recommend, and build strong relationships with vendors.
- Keep detailed records and leverage technology to track event signups and communicate with participants.
- Support the finance and administration team in coordinating rentals of facilities for non-MD SPCA events.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management.
- Extensive experience building and executing project plans and event logistics.
- Experience developing and managing budgets, negotiating and coordinating with vendors.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, including presenting, running meetings, and balancing needs of multiple parties.
- Frequent exposure to animals.
- Work is frequently performed in an office setting.
- Occasional offsite work in various environments requiring reliable transportation.
- Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Occasional need to drive company vans.
Salary: $48,000 - $55,000 Per Year
