Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure they meet hotel standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve housekeeping efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Train and develop housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic arithmetic functions and proficiency in Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
