Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Assistant to support the International Education Management program at Middlebury College. As a key member of Team IEM, you will facilitate collaboration, foster inclusion, and create meaningful programming for IEM students as scholar-practitioners. Your responsibilities will include agenda-setting, note-taking, and follow-up from monthly meetings with faculty, staff, and students. You will also work closely with the IEM program chair to build connections among IEM students, faculty, staff, and alumni. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills from IEM courses in practice while gaining experience in project management, academic writing, and event planning.

About the Position: The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for approximately 9 hours of work per week during the semesters, with up to 140 hours available during the fall semester. The position is for the fall and spring semesters, AY 2024-2025. You will have the opportunity to learn more about academic program operations and co-curricular learning activities, receive training and mentoring, and gain confidence in writing skills.

What We Offer: As a Graduate Assistant, you will receive a salary of $16 per hour, plus benefits. Responsibilities:
  1. Facilitate collaboration on Team IEM and foster inclusion and belonging among students and with alumni.
  2. Create meaningful programming for IEM students as scholar-practitioners.
  3. Manage administrative details and assist with agenda-setting, note-taking, and follow-up from monthly meetings with faculty, staff, and students.
  4. Work closely with the IEM program chair to build connections among IEM students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  5. Design and facilitate inclusive online and in-person events to connect the IEM community throughout the semester and for special activities and events.
