Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Working Capital Accountant to become a vital part of our finance division, reporting directly to the Financial/Working Capital Controller. This newly established position is essential for enhancing our cash flow and working capital reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly working capital and cash flow reports, ensuring timely commentary in line with established schedules.
- Conduct cash flow and working capital forecasts for monthly and annual budgeting.
- Implement enhancements to the cash flow model for improved budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to provide guidance on advanced reporting and modeling techniques.
- Generate weekly and monthly credit management reports to support the Order to Cash (O2C) Delivery Lead.
- Work closely with the O2C Delivery Lead to refine debt and collections forecasting accuracy and automate reporting processes.
- Engage with finance teams and other departments to enhance payment forecasting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for cash flow improvements through detailed analysis of cash variances and trends.
- Ensure timely escalation of issues to management as necessary.
- Publish financial results in relevant finance systems.
- Analyze and resolve ad-hoc issues utilizing business and systems knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong understanding of cash flow and working capital reporting processes.
- Familiarity with Balance Sheets and their underlying drivers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Proven relationship-building skills with stakeholders both within and outside the organization.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical issues clearly and succinctly.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with TM1 or similar systems is advantageous.
- Integrity, tact, and diplomacy in professional interactions.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
