Rogue Industrial Group is seeking a skilled Compressor Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Compressor Technician to work alongside our Compressor Mechanics and team to effectively resolve any issues on units and relevant production equipment in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintain compressors with 250 – 1200 HP, including intermediate computer skills, engine specific software, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, controls, and unit control panels.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Independently diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently, and lead and complete, accurate, and timely rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls on compressor packages in the field.
  • Commissioning and Start-up: Commission and start-up inspections with no supervision, and possess knowledge and ability to perform mechanical inspection using micrometers, pressure gauges, electronic diagnostic equipment, and other specialty tools independently.
  • Service and Maintenance: Service and provide preventive and corrective field mechanical service on Centrifugal and Reciprocating compressors, including disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components and equipment to ensure proper alignment, balance, and tolerances.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Possess at least 5+ years' experience with Compressors and Electrical engines, as well as a working knowledge of production equipment, including pumping units, plunger lifts, gas lifts, ESP's, VRU's, and VRT's.
  • Communication and Documentation: Necessary computer documentation and data entry daily, and must be willing to undergo Background check and driving record check, and must be able to pass DOT drug screening.
Requirements:
  • At least 5+ years' experience with Compressors and Electrical engines.
  • Working knowledge of production equipment.
  • Ability to work independently to respond and repair recurring problems and emergency services as needed.
  • Ability to work on-call rotation schedule.
  • Ability to drive around 300 miles/day.
  • Must live within Midland, Midkiff, TX area.
