Rutgers University is seeking a highly skilled Neurosurgeon to join its Department of Neurosurgery as a Clinical Leader and Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership direction, participating in general neurosurgery call, educating and mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students, and contributing to the academic and research mission of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Leadership: Provide direction and oversight for the clinical activities of the Department of Neurosurgery, including developing and implementing clinical programs and services.
- Education and Mentorship: Educate and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students in neurosurgery, including participating in didactic and clinical teaching activities.
- Research and Academic Contributions: Contribute to the research and academic mission of the department, including publishing research in medical journals and presenting at academic conferences.
- Service and Administration: Participate in departmental and university service activities, including committee work and administrative responsibilities.
- Board-certified or eligible in Neurosurgery
- Preference is given to Spine fellowship-trained
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure
- Excellent clinical and leadership skills
- Strong educational and research background
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
This position is subject to all Rutgers University policies, including TB surveillance and other infection control and safety policies.
