Key Responsibilities
The Audiologist will:
- Conduct audiological and vestibular assessments to evaluate patients' hearing and balance.
- Formulate, document, and implement individualized hearing correction plans.
- Provide modifications for hearing devices as needed.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and ongoing care.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Audiologist credential from the Indiana Board of Speech-Language Pathology Audiology required prior to employment or transfer. A Temporary Permit is acceptable if obtained before hire, with the requirement to pass boards and secure the Audiologist (AY) credential within 4 months.
- BLS Provider certification preferred, with acceptance from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Education:
- Doctorate of Audiology (AudD) is mandatory.
Additional Preferences
Au.D is preferred.
