Snapology of Cedar Park TX is seeking a part-time STEAM Instructor and Enrichment Program Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will be responsible for facilitating engaging STEM programs for students aged 2-14.

Job Summary

The STEAM Instructor and Enrichment Program Facilitator will teach Snapology programs, including robotics with coding, while promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. This role requires a strong ability to transport equipment, set up, and arrange furniture in preparation for classes.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate after-school programs, camps, workshops, birthday parties, and other special events for small and large groups of students through curriculum-guided activities.
  • Manage student use of learning materials and behavior while maintaining discipline in the classroom.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and adjust teaching accordingly.
  • Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos, participating in face-to-face training sessions, and practicing with materials.
  • Present lessons in an engaging way that promotes creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively communicate with parents, including sharing photos and videos via our designated platform.
Requirements
  • Criminal and child clearances, including background checks and fingerprint scanning (through Texas HHS Dept), must be current and submitted by the candidate at their expense.
  • First Aid & CPR training is required at the candidate's expense.
  • A driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current insurance are necessary for transporting materials.
  • At least two years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment is required.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Education degree or teaching experience is preferred.
  • Excellent time and classroom management skills are essential.
  • Comfortable working with LEGO bricks and technology is required.
  • Familiarity with coding and robotics is preferred.
  • Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis is necessary.

The estimated salary range is $24-$36 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, resulting in approximately $600 per week for a 30-hour workweek.
