This role requires availability on alternating weekends.
As a Housekeeper, you will have the rewarding opportunity to engage with our residents and make a positive difference in their daily lives. You will collaborate closely with the Environmental Services Director to ensure that our community spaces are well-maintained and organized.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and managing laundry and waste disposal.
You will follow a cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) for designated areas, including resident apartments, communal spaces, restrooms, and offices throughout the facility.
Additional duties involve:
- Collecting and laundering soiled linens in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Folding, sorting, and distributing clean laundry.
- Reporting supply and equipment needs to your Supervisor and restocking supplies as necessary.
- Coordinating with maintenance to report any repairs needed during your shifts.
Effective communication with community staff and residents' families regarding care and wellbeing is essential.
Collaboration with team members and following management direction is crucial, as well as taking initiative in conflict resolution when necessary.
The physical demands of this position include:
- Occasionally standing, moving, communicating, and identifying written information.
- Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds independently; occasionally lifting/moving up to 200 pounds with assistance.
Additional tasks may be assigned to meet the needs of residents and the community.
To qualify for the Housekeeper position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
- CPR or BLS certification is preferred.
Proficiency in internet browsers (e.g., Explorer, Chrome, Firefox), Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Publisher), electronic health records (EHR) systems, and any applicable HR systems is required.
