Your Responsibilities...

  • Team Collaboration: Works alongside fellow associates to foster a strong meat department; communicates effectively with team members; and adapts to the business's needs by working in various areas as required.
  • Expertise in Meat Processing: Displays knowledge of operations on the sales floor, backroom procedures, product safety regulations, sanitation standards, inventory control, and the operation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment; prepares (such as cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) meat products according to established guidelines; cuts boneless meat products; and maintains product quality standards.
  • Technological Proficiency: Utilizes digital tools to enhance sales, improve the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement; employs handheld technology to make real-time business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the customer in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to do the same.
  • Ownership of Operations: Commits to operational excellence, maintaining the work area in accordance with company policies and procedures; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures delicate and high-shrink merchandise; minimizes waste; assists customers with purchasing decisions; and ensures products are appropriately packaged, labeled, and stored following company policies and procedures.
  • Department Advocacy: Acts as a representative for the department and the store by valuing the customer experience in the meat section and exemplifying high-quality service and products; executes fundamental tasks at the highest possible quality level; and demonstrates enthusiasm, dedication, and passion for the work.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by leveraging policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, colleagues, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; executing tasks; communicating progress and information; identifying and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, challenges, and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00*

*The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be provided in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific tasks performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
