Position Summary: The Endoscopy Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of endoscopy facilities while fostering collaboration among the leadership and administrative teams. This role is pivotal in overseeing training initiatives, maintaining compliance with Medicare standards, ensuring accreditation, and nurturing a culture of excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate training for new endoscopy managers and staff, coordinating with other facilities as necessary.
  • Act as a resource nurse, possessing comprehensive knowledge of endoscopy operations.
  • Step in as a temporary endoscopy manager when required.
  • Coordinate staffing across endoscopy centers to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Administer annual competency assessments for managers and staff.
  • Conduct regular visits to assigned centers to evaluate operational flow and staff performance.
  • Introduce new anesthesia personnel to organizational policies and culture.
  • Perform bi-annual mock surveys at each assigned center.
  • Engage in reporting and communication with regulatory bodies.
  • Complete annual performance improvement projects tailored to each center.
  • Oversee supply orders, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness, and address any discrepancies with vendors.
  • Manage timekeeping in the payroll system.
  • Collaborate with endoscopy managers to establish staffing responsibilities and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Focus on enhancing operational efficiency through effective processes and high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with the Director of Endoscopy to discuss weekly achievements and challenges.
  • Review employee and physician files in collaboration with the Credentialing Specialist to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure endoscopy managers conduct quarterly training on essential topics such as safety and infection control.
  • Facilitate annual training on equipment and procedures.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for endoscopy studies, including incident reporting.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Endoscopy.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) is mandatory; experience in gastroenterology is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Experience in project management, budget oversight, or similar operational roles is preferred.
  • Flexibility and basic computer proficiency are necessary.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: Ability to work under stress, with moderate periods of sitting and computer use. Requires good visual acuity and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds. Travel may be necessary based on business needs.
