POSITION OVERVIEW:

In a role that requires a high level of vigilance, unarmed Safety and Security Specialists are tasked with safeguarding the facility's premises, property, personnel, patients, and visitors from unlawful activities, emergencies, fire hazards, and environmental threats, while also delivering exceptional customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
  • Preferred Associate degree, ideally in Criminal Justice or Security Management.
  • 0-3 years of experience in security within a healthcare environment;
  • -OR- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in intricate security operations;
  • -OR- A minimum of four (4+) years of military service with an Honorable Discharge.
  • Possession of an intermediate weapon may be necessary.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
  • Must hold a valid and unexpired Michigan driver's license.
  • Completion of state-mandated training certification and testing is required.
  • Ongoing training and testing obligations must be fulfilled annually.
