Design Associate Opportunity at Benner Landscape Design

Benner Landscape Design, a nationally recognized landscape architecture studio, is seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Design Associate in our Los Angeles office. Our studio focuses on residential and boutique commercial landscape design, collaborating with leading architectural and interior design professionals nationwide. We combine classic principles, contemporary California sensibilities, and a love of craftsmanship to create spaces for true indoor/outdoor living.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to support our team in producing Schematic Design presentations, Design Development, 2D and 3D drawings, and renderings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of landscape architecture principles, including site design, grading, and drainage, as well as sustainable and fire-resistant planting design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with our owner, Patricia Benner, and Project Managers to support design production.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality 2D and 3D drawings and renderings using AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Conduct research on material palettes and collaborate with the team to develop design concepts.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documentation and administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a landscape architecture studio.
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with LandFX, 3D modeling software, and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Strong graphic and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
