Starting salary:

$58,050 annually.

We are currently in search of a Licensed Educator for the academic year, with experience in teaching various subjects. Our classroom structure is tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. Through an interdisciplinary approach, we develop individualized plans for each student.

Your role will involve planning and executing therapeutic instructional programs for individuals on campus facing emotional, mental, and behavioral health challenges, under the direct supervision of the Principal.

Devereux Ackerman Academy serves students from grades K-12 and is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED).

We provide a dynamic educational setting for children and youth while they receive comprehensive mental health treatment.

Our educational staff are highly qualified and certified by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, with many holding multiple certifications, including Special Education and various content areas. Our classroom environment and instructional methods are designed to cater to the needs of diverse learners.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

GAPSC Certification - Licensed Educator (Middle or High School in various subjects:

Math, Science, Social Studies, or English/Language Arts); Grades 4-8 or 6-12

Special Education Certification preferred.

Experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support strategies preferred.

Valid Driver's License and background checks required along with Drug Screen.
