Primrose School of Wade Green is a recognized private preschool dedicated to delivering a top-tier educational childcare experience. We provide year-round programs for children from infancy through elementary school age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and supervision of a classroom of children.
- Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by Primrose School of Wade Green and relevant local, state, or national agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
- Continuously evaluate each child's developmental requirements.
- Execute approved lesson plans and daily schedules in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
- Collaborate with leadership to organize parent-teacher meetings and student assessments.
- Maintain an engaging and well-organized classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making among children.
- Provide positive reinforcement and set clear expectations for children's behavior.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared spaces, and outdoor areas.
- Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
- Uphold a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose School of Wade Green Employee Handbook.
- Assist in additional tasks as directed by the Director or their designee.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must fulfill the basic requirements set by local childcare regulatory bodies.
- Previous experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
- Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and care of children, including handling infants appropriately.
- For Infant - Preschool positions: A two-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- For Pre-Kindergarten positions: A four-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is required.
- For Kindergarten positions: A four-year degree in early childhood education and state certification to teach is required.
