About the Role

The University of Maine is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Manager of Ticket Operations. This role will assist the Manager of Ticket Operations with the day-to-day operations of the box office, ensuring seamless execution of ticketing processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of ticket sales, including processing transactions, handling customer inquiries, and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Ticket Operations to develop and implement strategies for improving ticket sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the box office team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of tickets, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and optimal results.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Assist with the management of inventory, including tracking and reporting on ticket sales, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Ticket Operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, marketing, or hospitality.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a ticketing or box office environment, with a strong understanding of ticketing software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patrons, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a performing arts or entertainment industry setting.
  • Knowledge of Paciolan ticketing software and other relevant systems.
