The University of Maine is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Manager of Ticket Operations. This role will assist the Manager of Ticket Operations with the day-to-day operations of the box office, ensuring seamless execution of ticketing processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the management of ticket sales, including processing transactions, handling customer inquiries, and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Ticket Operations to develop and implement strategies for improving ticket sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the box office team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of tickets, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and optimal results.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Assist with the management of inventory, including tracking and reporting on ticket sales, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Ticket Operations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, marketing, or hospitality.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a ticketing or box office environment, with a strong understanding of ticketing software and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patrons, vendors, and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a performing arts or entertainment industry setting.
- Knowledge of Paciolan ticketing software and other relevant systems.
