Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team at Hoyleton Youth and Family Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care and support to clients with mental health disorders in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical direction and participate in the management of Medical Assistant/CNA staff.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental and physical health status, including evaluating their symptoms, behaviors, and overall well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, which may include medication management, therapy, and other interventions.
  • Administer psychiatric medications as prescribed by providers, monitor medication efficacy, and educate patients about their medications and potential side effects.
  • Provide psychoeducation, skill-building interventions, and crisis management to help clients manage their mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with team members, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Advocate for patients' rights, ensure they receive appropriate care and support, and assist them in navigating the healthcare system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
CARE & TCI

As a member of our team, you will be expected to align your performance with our overarching philosophy of CARE, which includes Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship Based, Ecologically Oriented, Competence Centered, and Trauma Informed principles. You will also be required to complete TCI training and maintain current on refresher training.
