Position Overview:

Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements within the designated timeframe:

Specialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-14 level, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent. This experience should be directly related to the position and should have equipped the candidate with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties effectively.

Specialized experience includes:
  • Experience in implementing Financial Accounting Systems applications, such as PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials, or similar accounting software;
  • Proven track record in leading and maintaining IT systems, including operational support, updates, and user assistance;
  • Involvement in IT projects through all phases, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support;
  • Experience in supporting operations and maintenance (O&M) of financial accounting systems to assess necessary updates;
  • Ability to extract data in various formats from a Financial Accounting System for ad-hoc reporting, analysis, verification, and profiling.

Experience may be acquired in public, private sectors, or through volunteer service. Note that one year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work will be considered on a prorated basis.

Time-in-Grade Requirement:
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must meet the time-in-grade requirement, if applicable. For the GS-14 level, candidates must have served at the GS-13 level for a minimum of 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment:
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving in a non-temporary competitive appointment must have completed at least three months in that role.
