As a Heavy Collision Specialist, you will be involved in various departments including Body, Paint, Trim, and Final Assembly. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks such as welding, fitting, gapping, metal finishing, and assembly. You will also be engaged in the processes of blocking, sanding, masking, applying primer, wet sanding, buffing, and installing components like doors, fenders, hoods, fascias, bumpers, and trim.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rates based on experience and skill level, with opportunities for increased earnings through overtime.
  • This position offers stable pay without the uncertainty of flat rate jobs.
  • Work hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with weekends off.

Qualifications

  • Preferred background in heavy collision repair, custom vehicle builds, or restoration.
  • Expertise in cutting, welding, shaping, and fitting body panels with precision.
  • Ability to shape panels without warping, focusing on metal work rather than fillers.
  • Proficiency in aligning panels and components within a strict tolerance.
  • A practical skills assessment will be conducted to evaluate your expertise.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Commitment to learning and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and overtime as needed.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor and handle tools and materials effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset are essential.
  • Technical training in auto body repair or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new technologies is necessary.
