The role of the Academic Interventionist is pivotal in enhancing student outcomes by:
- Evaluating students regularly to identify those who may require additional support.
- Creating, selecting, and adjusting educational plans and resources tailored to the diverse needs of students.
- Delivering focused instruction in small groups or one-on-one, guided by assessment results.
- Applying evidence-based strategies for academic interventions in literacy and numeracy.
- Engaging with educators and families to discuss student progress in reading and mathematics.
- Tracking the effectiveness of interventions and documenting each child's progress for team discussions.
- Incorporating feedback and setting goals into daily instructional practices.
- Participating actively in school life, including various student events and activities.
- Fostering a classroom environment that promotes student success.
- Embodying and advocating for the mission and vision of Crescent City Schools.
- Assuming additional responsibilities as necessary.

Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- This position requires in-person engagement.
