Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Marles Inc. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, focusing on quality food and service.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring employees are working in accordance with our standards.
  • Responsible for running the kitchen and ensuring employees are taking their required breaks and mealtimes.
  • Assist with food costs by reducing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Assist with labor costs by ensuring employees are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with prep work and cleaning, including checklists.
  • Report any issues related to employee attitude, behavior, or attendance, following our incident reporting process.
  • Coordinate station assignments for team members.
  • Act as a central point of communication for the kitchen.
  • Attend supervisor training sessions as required.
Requirements:
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and restaurant guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with Spanish language a plus.
Work Environment:

The Restaurant Supervisor will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with the ability to traverse all areas of the restaurant quickly. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are required. The ability to lift 50 pounds is necessary. The work environment is divided between desk work, working in the restaurant, and meetings. The Restaurant Supervisor must be comfortable working long hours, including nights and weekends.

Compensation: $22 - $26 per hour, plus tips, plus quarterly bonus potential.
