Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and owners to determine project specifications and develop project plans.
  • Construction Management: Organize and oversee construction procedures to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure profitable agreements.
  • Permitting and Licensing: Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
  • Resource Management: Determine required resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) and ensure they are allocated effectively within budgetary constraints.
  • Project Coordination: Work with on-site Superintendents to plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
  • Subcontractor Management: Secure subcontractors for specific trade needs.
  • Progress Evaluation: Monitor project progress and apply necessary changes to achieve planned goals.
  • Project Closeout: Lead the overall project closeout process and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Requirements and Skills
  • Commercial Construction Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction project management, specifically related to restaurant construction.
  • Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material management, and project management principles.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction/project management software, including Sage 100 and Procore.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Organizational and Time-Management: Excellence in organizational and time-management skills.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: A team player with leadership abilities.
  • Education and Certifications: BS/BA in engineering, building science, or construction; or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong PC skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook.
  • Construction Safety: Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan.
