Procurement Manager Job Description

The Lane Construction Corporation is a leading construction company specializing in large, complex civil infrastructure projects. As a Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize purchasing power and achieve financial objectives for our business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for key commodities and spend categories to optimize purchasing power and achieve financial objectives.
  • Sources and evaluates suppliers, negotiates contracts, and maintains relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
  • Manages the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements and provides guidance and support throughout the procurement process.
  • Monitors and analyzes market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Maintains records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information, and generates reports on performance.
  • Implements and enforces procurement procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and standards.
  • Mentors, coaches, provides feedback, and evaluates the performance of Buyers as required.
  • Collaborates with leaders to establish short and long-term supply chain objectives.
  • Leads cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluates vendor capabilities, reliability, and financial stability for qualification purposes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

8 years of experience
